My coworker would walk by me and every time she passed, this heavenly scent trailed in her wake. I finally asked her what she was wearing. That was my initial encounter with Black Amber. I've been addicted to it since. Please, Carnival Wax, don't ever discontinue its existence.

There is seriously not anything else I could want in a perfume oil. Black Amber is perfect! It's dark, it's sexy, it's alluring... it's everything. I often find myself wanting to put it on first thing after a shower, just because it makes me feel so great to wear it. Love, love, love!

This is my second bottle of Black Amber, it is my signature scent that I cannot live without! It's earthy, sexy and sensual but also easy enough to wear everyday running errands or hanging with my Kiddo. It's perfect. I have purchased the 10ml bottle before -- strong patchouli smell. Don’t get me wrong…it’s a beautiful smell but I like scents with a little mystery to them. I would purchase this again. But first I have to try all the other great scents. My goal is to buy every one of my favorites…which is practically all of them. This is a really sensual smell.

This was my first purchase from Carnival Wax...while going thru my products the other dya, I happened to come across this bottle which still contained oil....I slathered it over my neck and arms...Immediately drew compliments and inspired me to buy another round of samples because they are so FREAKING amazing!!!! I LOVE Carnival Wax.

Up close, this smells exactly like its namesake. A very black amber. It is primarily a rich scent, of an earthy/animalic amber, with a dark and spicy (possibly even sinister) shadow over top it. It says it is "Heavily Laced with Dark and Sensual Antiqued Patchouli", but the darkness I smell is unlike any patch I've ever experienced. More so a black musk, with a bit of a woodsy spiciness perhaps? Anyhow, this one was not for me, perfume-wise. I do find it makes the worlds BEST room scent however. It is incredibly rich and complex, and so full of character and depth and soul, and for an earthy dark scent with "animalic amber" and patch, and black musk, it still manages to not smell dirty at all. I would say it gives the room an indescribable antique feel, but I wouldnt want you to think of a dusty old haunted mansion. There is no dust in this at all. Actually, the best way I can think to describe it, would be if you imagined an expensive, vintage leather jacket. One worn for a persons whole lifetime, whom smoked clove cigarettes, and LIVED in this jacket. That is the smell I get from this. Aged butter-leather, tinged with a soft spicy smoke.

Black Amber is such a unique scent. When I put it on it smells heavily of cedar, but soon dissipates to a really nice, clean scent. You don't need to apply much, and it lasts quite a long time. Really lovely.

I like to mix this with Gypsy and Funhouse. Just a dot of oil goes a long way. It's powerful stuff! Try using it as a base for sweeter scents if you like a little dirt on your lolly-pop.

I have heard so many good things about this scent that I had to purchase a sample. This is unlike any scent I've ever worn. I've gotten more compliments on this scent in the past week that I've worn it than I have on any other single scent in my collection. This fragrance oil has true staying power, I applied some in the morning before work and the next morning, I could still smell it on my wrists. I will definitely be purchasing a bottle!

This smells heavy like leather and cigars. I like it but a little goes a loooong way. My boyfriend also says I smell like a large Italian man when I wear it. I like it but sometimes need something a little more feminine. Perfect for a mans man though.

My fiancee wears this, and it stops me dead in my tracks. Heavy, heady incense notes with patchouli...women AND men stop him all the time to ask what he's wearing. I borrow it sometimes as well, perfect for a guy or a girl.
